Great idea, Jim. That'd put a real face to the community and give a good feel for what kind of people are already involved.

I think we'll do that once we start actually signing up members (as opposed to right now, still gathering interest but not yet commitments)

congrats on the press! those numbers are huge, yet they seem low to me. especially if you consider that many people will work 1-2 days a week at an office and the rest at home. when thinking of the target market for a coworking space, you should include those folks (I am one of them!). Not to mention those who are currently renting office space for a 1-2 person company, but need a change of vibe. And people who are in school or have young kids but do part-time work at home...

Is there a list of participants and their expertise somewhere? It would be cool to know what subject matter experts are represented. Sum of the parts greater than...ya know.

Friday night at the Hotel San Jose - I've referred to the energy of that evening as "we can change the world" energy. And it certainly was a high point.

Sometimes those high points are just that - bursts of energy that fade away. A rush of excitement for an idea that fades away when we re-enter the "real world".

Coworking is *so* not that. I'm feeling that "we can change the world" as much as ever. It's fantastic!

Several months ago I started tracking "coworking" on Twitter and set notifications to come to my phone. Used to be a few messages a week. Now, frankly, it's getting to be a bit much and I'm going to have to turn SMS alerts off. How cool is that?
